What FaceitOBS collects, why, and how little of it we keep.

The short version
FaceitOBS is a free, open-source overlay tool. It has no accounts, no logins, and no payments. It does not store your FACEIT nickname or stats on our servers. The nickname you type is sent straight to the FACEIT API to get your public statistics, and that's the extent of it.
Information you give us
When you search for a player or generate an overlay, we use the FACEIT nickname you enter to request that player's public profile and stats (nickname, avatar, ELO, skill level, K/D, win rate, rank, and recent match results) from the FACEIT API. The request happens in real time and the result is returned to your browser. We do not write that nickname or those stats to our own storage.
Information collected automatically
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — page views, device type, and general location. This is privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics used to keep the tool working and learn what people use. It does not identify you personally, and we don't combine it with anything else.
How we use your information
The only purpose of fetching your data is to render the overlay you asked for. We do not sell, rent, or trade any information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-party services
FaceitOBS relies on the FACEIT API to provide the statistics shown in the overlay. Your use of that data is also governed by FACEIT's own terms and privacy practices. Vercel Analytics handles its own data processing under Vercel's policies.
Data retention
We have no server-side database and no user accounts, so there is no stored profile to retain or delete. Anything sent in a request is passed through to FACEIT and discarded once the response is returned.
Your choices
This tool has no account creation, so there are no preferences to manage. If you'd rather not have your FACEIT stats referenced or displayed, simply don't enter your nickname. For questions about your data, email rioirsan8@gmail.com.
Children
FaceitOBS is a statistics tool for a game audience and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from minors.
